A sunny day

This past weekend was absolutely gorgeous here in St Petersburg, we took a long walk around the city and snapped a few photos, the sunshine got us really excited for Egypt (only 3 weeks away) and for summer here in St Petersburg. The center square, with no snow in it! (But it was just a couple of degrees above freezing, if at all)

Notice the many people walking on the river, the strip of open water in the middle is supposed to prevent adventurous people from walking all the way across the river, But....
Apparently this guy didn't get the memo, after he hopped across the open spot on a floating chunck his buddy joined him and they both walked to V island. Not something you'll catch Nikki or I doing anytime soon, even though it would significantly quicken Nikkis commute.

In related news we are a mere few days away form the equinox and it is really apparent in how much more light we are getting here a day, last night it was still twilight at around 7 PM, a huge contrast to when our plane landed here at 4 PM on January 12th in pitch darkness.

The evenings are lighter here too. I love it! A little hint of all the spring that is to come! Nice hat, Josh :)
